1.What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how Xofar uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use our website, mobile applications and other digital services. It explains the types of technologies we use, why we use them, and the choices available to you.

This policy should be read together with the Xofar Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, share and retain personal data obtained through these technologies.

2.What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Cookies allow a website to recognize your browser and remember certain information between pages or visits. We may also use technologies that perform similar functions, including:

Cookies
Stored by your browser.
Local storage
Allows information such as preferences or recent searches to be stored on your device.
Pixels and tags
May help us understand whether a page, communication or other digital content has been accessed.
Mobile device identifiers
Including advertising identifiers provided by mobile operating systems, which may be controlled through your device settings.
Software development kits (SDKs)
Used within our mobile applications to support analytics, functionality, security or other services.

For convenience, we refer to these technologies collectively as “cookies” or “similar technologies” throughout this policy.

3.The categories of technologies we use

Strictly necessary

These technologies are required for the Platform to function properly. They may be used to keep you signed in, maintain your booking or search session, route traffic, maintain security, prevent fraud and protect the Platform against automated or malicious activity.

Because these technologies are necessary for the operation and security of the Platform, they cannot be disabled through our cookie consent controls. Disabling them through your browser or device may prevent some parts of Xofar from functioning correctly, including certain booking features.

Preference

Preference technologies allow us to remember choices you have made, such as your preferred currency, language, departure location or other settings. These technologies help provide a more convenient and personalized experience.

Analytics

Analytics technologies help us understand how users interact with the Platform. For example, they may help us identify pages that are slow to load, errors in the booking process, unsuccessful searches or points at which users leave a booking journey. We use this information to monitor performance, identify technical issues and improve the Platform. Analytics technologies that are not strictly necessary are used only where you have provided the required consent.

Marketing

Marketing technologies may be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, understand how users interact with promotional content and provide more relevant marketing communications or offers.

Some marketing technologies may be provided by third parties and may allow information about your interaction with Xofar to be used across different websites or services. We use non-essential marketing technologies only where you have provided the required consent.

4.Third-party technologies

Some cookies and similar technologies may be provided by third parties that support the operation of the Xofar Platform. These may include providers of:

  • analytics and performance services
  • advertising and marketing services
  • payment and transaction services
  • fraud prevention and security services
  • embedded content or functionality, such as maps, videos or other third-party services

Where applicable, these third parties may process information collected through their technologies in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms. You can view and manage available non-essential technologies through the Xofar cookie settings panel.

5.Your choices

You have control over non-essential cookies and similar technologies. When you first visit Xofar, our cookie banner may allow you to:

  1. 1accept all available categories of cookies;
  2. 2reject non-essential cookies; or
  3. 3select your preferences by category.

You can change your preferences at any time through the Cookie Settings link available on the Platform.

You can also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the functionality and availability of certain Xofar features.

For mobile applications, you may also be able to manage tracking permissions through the application or your device settings, depending on your device and operating system. Where consent is required, we will seek consent again periodically and when material changes are made to the technologies we use.

6.Do Not Track

Some browsers and devices provide a “Do Not Track” or similar signal. Because there is currently no universally accepted technical standard for responding to these signals, Xofar does not currently rely on Do Not Track signals as a substitute for the cookie preference controls provided through the Platform. You can manage your preferences through our Cookie Settings functionality.

7.Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, including where we introduce, remove or materially change technologies used on the Platform. Where a material change affects how we obtain or use consent, we may notify you through the Platform or our cookie consent mechanism.

The effective date shown at the beginning of this policy indicates when the current version came into effect.

8.Contact us

If you have questions about how Xofar uses cookies or similar technologies, or wish to exercise a privacy right relating to information collected through them, please contact [email protected].

We will handle privacy-related requests in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
